It is accelerating. Otherwise, it would be moving in a straight line. As long as there's a change in direction, there's acceleration. What we have here is that the magnitude of the velocity (speed) is constant, but the direction keeps changing over time.

This is a simple problem of solving 2 equations with 2 unknowns: 1) 4blue + 5yellow = 49 2) 2blue + 1yellow = 17 Multiply equation 2) by 2: 2) 4blue + 2yellow = 34 Now, subtract 2) from 1): (4blue + 5yellow) - (4blue + 2yellow) = 49 - 34; 3yellow = 15;
(sin theta)^2+(cos theta)^2=1; (sin theta)^2+1/10=1; (sin theta)^2=9/10 sin theta= 3/(sqrt10) OR sin theta=-3/(sqrt10) But since theta is a first quadrant angle ==> sin theta is positive Therefore, sin theta= 3/(sqrt10)
Let the three pieces of the rope be x,y, and z respectively. 1) x=2y 2) z=3y (Note: We deduce from these 2 equations that the longest part we want to find is z) 3) x+y+z=120 Substitute 1) and 2) in 3) Hence we get: 2y+y+3y=120; 6y=120 ==> y=20 ft
At the beginning, he had 10 coins and drew one. For this one to be a dime, it has a probability of 5/10 (5 dimes out of 10 coins in total). So p1=1/2 Then, after drawing that coin, he has 9 total coins in his pocket, then he drew one. For this coin to be a
For the company to lose money, p(x) x>0 Thus, 15000-750x15000; x>20 Therefore, the company loses money for x>20 items
