Yeah, algebra would be so easy but, I think it is supposed to be a simple Addition/Subtraction answer because that is what they're working on right now. He had another problem that said there are 40 people at a picnic. There are 4 more children than adults. How many of each are there? I just had him to add numbers that added up to 40 and then see if one of the numbers was 4 more than the other and he had no problem coming up with 18 and 22 so, that is the reason that I think this problem should be solved the same way. Guess, I'll send a note to his teacher and let her explain it to us. Thanks for your help.
Thanks for your help. I don't know how to explain it to him either. I guess I'll just send a note to his teacher and have her to explain. Bad thing is-they're having a test on this tommorow. He had another problem where it said there are 40 people at a picnic. There are 4 more children than adults. How many of each are there? He just added numbers that added up to 40 and then checked to see if one of them was 4 more than the other and he came up with 18 and 22 so, I'm thinking that this nickle and dime problem should be solved the same way. Boy, the things that they want kids to know at an early age now days. Thanks again for your help.
The answer to this is...... 11 14 17 22 25 30 31 find the number in the middle. If you have 2 #s in the middle, you addthe 2 #s and divide by 2. The anwer is.... find out yourself. I already told you how. remember also to put the #s in order. Bye, Kathy:)

Sorry, forgot to put the rest,I got distracted. In this problem you do not need to assume the work of climbing the mountain is 4 times the work of just lifting the weight straight up. You should calculate the number of kJ needed to lift the 171 lb mass 5640 meters and then double this number for the round trip. Remember to watch units! Question-Alexander wants to know exactly how many bars to pack in his backpack for the journey. To provide a margin of safety, he assumes that he will need as much energy for the return trip as for the uphill climb. How many bars should Alexander pack?

Throughout the work many fear that the United States culture has taken over everyone else's culture. Some people have called this economic imperialism. Do you think I could add that to my answer? Is it what you ment about hurting Americans.

Hi Sue This for question 10 Modernization Theory Why are some people and countries poor, and how can they achieve development similar to that experienced in the Western world? Modernization theory is informed by both classical sociology and economics. It stems from Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution, which social scientists later reinterpreted as progress toward a better future, with Western society at the pinnacle (“developed nations”). If Western society is developed, then other societies and cultures are underdeveloped by definition and can be placed in stages along the path to development. Rostow (1956, 1960; see Figure 8.5) argues that the most important stage of economic development is the “take-off,” when the development process accelerates and continued growth becomes inevitable. Note Rostow’s language used in the last stage—”high mass consumption”—which is reminiscent of Bodley’s comments about “cultures of consumption.”
i have the answers, but does not have the answers for the set of problems I was working on. That was one of my questions I was not completly sure of. I copied the problem word for word from the text. I did as much calculations as I knew how...it was then trying to figure out how to get the probability i think. This chapter threw me for a loop.
First use velocity formula to find distance of base, then use -(1/2)(-9.80)(3.5^2) to find height of cliff.
do you have a answer or formula to this bobpursley?
i went to other post on this an it redirected me to this one...if you don't mind i really would appreciate if you re-answer the question

If you are in college go to the university library and ask a reference librarian. They are wonderful ad will teach you how to do research correctly. In the mean time, go to Google Scholar and type in Miranda Rights in the first field and supreme court in the second field. After minimal effort I found this document that you may find helpful. Here is the MLA citation for it: KINPORTS, KIT. "The Supreme Court's Love-Hate Relationship With Miranda." Journal Of Criminal Law & Criminology 101.2 (2011): 375-440. Academic Search Complete. Sorry I meant Find an equation for the line that passes through the point (2, -5) and is parallel to the x-axis Find an equation for the line that passes through the point (2, -5) and is parallel to the y-axis Find an equation for the line that passes through the point (2, -5) and is parallel to the line 2x - 4y = 3
it has a slope of -3 the line that passes through the point (2, -5)
Thank you very much.
Thanks Damon and Reiny for your help!
Thanks. :) I think I got it now. You rock.
Ok... I tried to figure these out. This is what I got. Will you check my work? 1). 4x^2 - 8x - 12 + 6x = 4x^2 - 2x -12 = 2(2x + 3)(x - 2) 2). 144 - 9p^2 = 9(16 - p^2) = -9(p^2 - 4^2) = -9(p + 4)(p - 4) 3). 5c^2 - 24cd - 5d^2 = (5c + d)(c - 5d) 4). w^2 - 17w + 42 = (w - 3)(w + 14) 5). 256z^2 - 4 - 192z^2 + 3 = 64z^2 - 1 = (8z + 1)(8z - 1) 6). 2a^2 c^3 - 14bc^3 + 32c^3 d^2 = 2c^3(a^2 - 7b + 16d^2) 7). 35g^2 + 6g - 9 = (7g - 3)(5g + 3) 8). 3j^3 - 51j^2 + 210j = 3j(j - 7)(j - 10)
Thank you, Steve.

I don't know if you need inverse operations but the equations can be solved with the following steps.. Eq 1: 19 = h/3 -8 Add 8 to both sides of equation 19 + 8 = h/3 or h/3 = 27 Multiply both sides by 3 h = 27*3 = 81
After reading the definitions I think its now A

C) The national government had to strongly control the activities of state governments. **my answer D) Without a strong national government, the country would never be able to expand its borders.

When the Framers created the legislative branch of government, why did they decide that this branch would have a bicameral structure? A) They wanted to ensure equal representation for each of the thirteen states. B) The Framers formed a bicameral legislature as a compromise between small states, which wanted equal representation in the legislature, and large states, which wanted representation based on population. ** C) Fearing a powerful judiciary chosen by the president, the Framers wanted a two-house legislature to balance the other two branches of government. D) Fearing a tyrannical executive branch, the Framers were persuaded to create a bicameral legislature by the arguments of James Madison and Alexander Hamilton.
