I'm having a problem with this warm-up. I know it's recirsive formula, but I have no idea how to correctly find the first five terms. a1= 3, an = an - 1 +2(n-2), n is greater or equal to 2.

My textbook didn't thoroughly explain this unit very well and now I'm having trouble solving this problem. Can someone help me? Find the length of the missing side of a right triangle if the hypotenuse(hyp) is 4(radical) 3 and the opposite leg(opp) is 2.
