Do have trouble finding t?
(5t-9/ 4 ) = 14 5t-9 =14*4 multiply 4 to both sides, and it cancels the 4 on the left side. 5t-9=56 add 9 to both sides, and it cancels on the left side. 5t=56+9 5t=65 divide by 5 on both sides t= 13
(m+5/6)= -19 (m+5/6) *6 = -19 *6 (m+5) -5= -114 -5 m= -119
-7^ (-2), put it divided by 1. -1/(7^2) when you place the exponent to the denominator, change the sign, same goes if you have a negative exponent on the denominator, bring it to the numerator and change the sign. -1/49
(3/4)^(-1). Just switch the fraction to 4/3 , because its the whole fraction raised to -1. if ( 3^(-1) ) / 4 ==> 1/(3*4)=1/12
1. its a basic subtraction question. (3/4)-(1/2)=1/4 you subtract because he sold it.
2. since you want to know for 20 days, how much gas you waste, 20*( 1 1/2) = 30 So , you waste 30 gallons of gas in 20 days, How much money do you spend on 30 gallons of gas. 30*($2)= $60 for 30 gallons of gas which covers 20 workdays)
7,2 ---> 2,7 5,4 ----> 4,5 1,8 ----->8,1 9,0 -----> can't be reversed because it doesn't become a two digit number. 3,6 ----->6,3 ----------------------------------- all these two digit numbers add up to 9, and if reversed, you should subtract 72- 27= does it equal greater than 63, no 54-45= ..........................., no 81-18 = yes it does ===63 so the original number is 18
( 2 3/4 miles ) / ( X feet) = ( 1 mile)/ ( 5280 feet ) then cross multiply (2 3/4 mi)*(5280 feet)= (x feet)(1 mi) (2 3/4 )(5280) = x feet that equals your total feet for 2 3/4 miles.
s^2 - s - 6 What you're looking for is a number that when you multiply it, it equals -6 and when you add them it equals -1. these values -6 and -1 are derived from the equation. so number could be --> -/+ 3, -/+ 2 but since there's only one way of getting -1 when you add them. the answer is -3 and 2. when you multiply -3 and 2==> -6 when you add them it equal ==> -1 so ==> ans= (s-3)(s+2) Try to do the same for the other problem.
Thanks, much appreciated, very nice of you to look.
What kind of reflections are the following trig functions? y = 3cos(x-1) y = sin(-3x+3) y = -2sin(x)-4
I need help on how to use an equation to graph? Here is an example from the text book. y=x-4 example shows x= -2 -1 1 2 y= -6 -5 -3 -2 I want know how did they show this relationship.
Thanks for the help =) Clear and detailed explanation.
Your formula is correct. Assuming you add up the 3x and x to form 4x, you have to use the general solution of a quadratic equation. Do you know how to use it? =) By the way, x should be 8 if you use it right.
Okay, we'll do it by completing the square. :) From 3x^2 + 4x = 224, x^2 + 4/3 x = 224/3 x^2 + 4/3x + 4/9 = 224/3 + 4/9 (x+2/3)^2 = 75/1/9 x + 2/3 = square root of 75/1/9 x + 2/3 = 8/2/3 or -8/2/3 x = 8 or -9/1/3( Not applicable as positive integer cannot be a negative fraction) Hence, x = 8. There you go! :)
You're welcome ^^ :)
Hi Meghan, If you differentiate a constant (i.e. any number, fraction or yeah...a constant), you always get 0. Hope I helped :)
Hi Tina, A palindromic number is a symmetrical form, in this case, xyx, where x has to be 2 as the number is between 200 and 300. We'll ignore the y to move on to finding the x. Create two numbers where the difference of the hundreds place = 2. For example, 9y9 and 7y7. Or maybe 4y4 and 2y2. Whatever it is, the first number and last number of both digits must be the same for a symmetrical answer. Then, choose a y, any digit from the list above. Those will be your numbers. Just remember, the y in the number with the bigger x has to be bigger than the y in the number with the smaller x. For example, we could use 969 and 737. This gives us 232, a palindrome number. Also, we could use 636 and 424. This gives us 212, which is also a palindrome number. There are several possibilities, go ahead and try them out! :) Hope I helped. Sorry for the lengthy post. Let me know if you have any problems understanding this.
Hi elaine, Yup, that is all correct. Well done!
Oops, missed out some equations such as 500 + 1600, sorry about that
together with 1100 + 1600, 1100 - 500, and I'm not sure if you also want to include those with negative answers..
Hi Max, well, in short, we need the knowledge for adulthood after marrying etc. Also, this knowledge is classified as general knowledge, some might need it, some might now :) Though most do, like how many people are reliant on common knowledge
might not*, spelling error.
Hi Lili, I'll try this one. You could add silver carbonate to the solution. A white precipitate is produced, while a colorless, odorless, gas is evolved which produces a white precipitate in limewater (calcium hydroxide). Hope I helped! :)
Hi Anonymous, Truthfully speaking I don't know much about ozone cracking. However, seeing that no one has answered your query for almost two hours, I will try to help. The definition of ozone cracking as stated in Britannica Encyclopedia is as such: "Atmospheric ozone reacts readily with elastomers containing C=C double bonds, leading to breakage of molecules lying in the surface." Therefore, I would guess that ozone, o3, reacts with some unsaturated organic molecule, to remove one carbon or the bonds. I'm really not sure and this is a speculation of mine. If I'm not wrong, this is quite similar to when chlorine in CFCs break up the ozone layer? Hope I've helped you :)
Thanks ^^
Hi brittany lasseigne, what do you need help with? There are many points of comparison you could consider jotting down. You could try to talk to grown ups who have lived through the 1800's as children. Here's some starting material for you (Please do not copy, this is only to be served as reference material): "Children were dressed like little adults and, in fact, treated like adults in that they were (in the lower classes) expected to go to work as early as 5 or 6. They were probably more serious than our children; working in a dangerous factory will knock lots of foolishness out of a child. There was no such thing as a teenager and no cult of children who need to be spoiled and entertained. Girls were often married at 15 or 16 and, in the middle to lower classes, boys were expected to decide at about 10 what trade they wanted to go into, so they could be apprenticed. There was no standard or requirement for literacy; the boys in the upper classes were fluent in Latin, Greek, often French, with some Italian. They were heavily versed in the literary classics. Their less fortunate peers went to school when they could and often taught themselves after work. Girls in the upper classes were literate and probably knowledgeable in light literature (poetry, novels, etc.) but were discouraged from learning anything more than "feminine accomplishments": playing the pianoforte, drawing, fine needlework. Poor girls were lucky to be able to read, but often knew something the "better" girls did not: how to run a household. These children were also raised with a greater presence of death. Dying in childbirth was fairly common and, since birth control was illegal and unreliable, childbirth was tough to avoid. It was rare for a mother, of any class, to raise all her children without one fatality." -Quoted from WikiAnswers Hope I helped! Thanks :)
Hi Bo, we have several indicators, including litmus, universal indicator, bromothymol blue, methyl orange, and screened methyl orange. There are many, and the list can go on forever, but these are most commonly used. The best, in my case, would be universal indicator or litmus. Hope I helped! Thanks :)
Hi Jherica Holland, You have posted several questions regarding the 18th century. What I suggest is for you to search "the 1800's" on Google. There are some personal recounts which you could use as reference material. Hope I helped. Thanks! :)
O_o didn't consider that haha :)
Hi drwls, Just wondering, does the word "under" in the question influence the question at all? Thanks for your reply! =)
Thanks drwls for the good explanation =)
Thank you for your help.

I know that your answer is right because it is one of the options on my homework sheet, but I don't think I quite understand how everything cancels out. If we call csc(e^6x) y from the beginning, upon initial substitution we have: (integral of) (e^6x)(y)(cot(e^6x))dx now dy/dx= -6e^(6x)csc(e^6x)cot(e^6x) However, in our integral equation we have dx, not dy/dx, so we need to rearrange this so that we can directly substitute for dx which would give us dy/(--6e^(6x)csc(e^6x)cot(e^6x)) = dx. If you plug that into our integral, we have -1/6 (integral of) y * 1/csc(e^6x) dy or -1/6 (integral of) sin(e^6x)y dy I know this isn't right, so I feel like I don't properly understand what to do with the dy/dx situation.
Never mind, I figured it out; because y= csc(e^6x), the ys cancel out, so we are left with -1/6 (integral of) dy, which gives us -1/6 csc(e^6x) + C. Thank you for the help!
plisss tipe in this in google jared diamonds theory

I needed help tying the first question into the second one--like how does the fact that Unferth is jealous of Beowulf apply when thinking about Grendel?
No because he doesnt want anyone else to be more famous/glorious than him. Rude and they try to put you down/make you feel like you will not be able to do it
I still don't understand how that applies when thinking about Grendel...
That he believes in Grendel
ohh. i also didn't catch what Hrothgar's comments on his men were. and does "him" in the last sentence refer to Hrothgar or Unferth?
I understand that, but what does Hrothgar say about is men and why does 'he' need to disparage Beowulf's actions as being foolhardy?

What i am asking is how would i measure out 2.5cm diameter onto grid paper which my backyard design is on?
this really helped me out too,!
Is that the answer? Thank you so much<3
Thank you so much! How did you get those though? I cant seem to figure it out...

It must be nice," she said. "It must be very nice. I wish women could do such things." "It ain't the right kind of a life for a woman. Her upper lip raised a little, showing her teeth. "How do you know? How can you tell?" she said. "I don't know, ma'am," he protested. "Of course I don't know. Now here's your kettles, done. You don't have to buy no new ones. "How much?" "Oh, fifty cents'll do. I keep my prices down and my work good. That's why I have all them satisfied customers up and down the highway." Elisa brought him a fifty-cent piece from the house and dropped it in his hand. "You might be surprised to have a rival some time. I can sharpen scissors, too. And I can beat the dents out of little pots. I could show you what a woman might do." He put his hammer back in the oily box and shoved the little anvil out of sight. "It would be a lonely life for a woman, ma'am, and a scarey life, too, with animals creeping under the wagon all night." He climbed over the singletree, steadying himself with a hand on the burro's white rump. He settled himself in the seat, picked up the lines. "Thank you kindly, ma'am," he said. "I'll do like you told me; I'll go back and catch the Salinas road."...The wagon turned and crawled out the entrance road and back the way it had come, along the river.Elisa stood in front of her wire fence watching the slow progress of the caravan. Her shoulders were straight, her head thrown back, her eyes half-closed, so that the scene came vaguely into them. Her lips moved silently, forming the words "Good-bye--good-bye." Then she whispered, "That's a bright direction. There's a glowing there."
