Let 'x' equal (2theta/3). If cot(x) = -sqrt3, then tan(x) = -1/sqrt3. Locating Tan(x) on the unit circle brings us pi/6. So, X=pi6 is the same as (2theta/3)=pi/6. Multiply both sides by 3. 2theta=pi/2. Multiply both sides by 1/2. Theta=pi/4.
