i just did it and found the solution: factor of safety= ultimate stress/allowable stress so allowable stress=ultimate stress/7--->231/7=33mpa. D square=(255E3 * 4)/(33E6 * 3.14)= 0.00984. d=0.0992m = 99.2mm :)
