A small 7.10kg rocket burns fuel that exerts a time-varying upward force on the rocket. This force obeys the equation F = A + Bt^2. Measurements show that at t = 0, the force is 121.0N, and at the end of the first 2.10s , it is 176.0N. Part A Find the net...

An object is shot at 20m/s at an angle theta. The object lands 24m away. What is the angle? Can you check if I am doing this right? I had v(initial) = 20 m/s g = 9.8 m/s^2 x = 24m 1st I solved for time: x = v(initial) t x = v(initial) cos(theta) t 24 = 20...

A gymnast of mass 61.0 kg hangs from a vertical rope attached to the ceiling. You can ignore the weight of the rope and assume that the rope does not stretch. How do I calculate the tension T in the rope if the gymnast hangs motionless on the rope? Also,...

Two ropes exert forces holding a suspended box having a mass of 100 N at rest. If one rope is at an angle of 30o to the horizontal and exerts a force of 40 N along the rope, what is the tension on the other rope and what is the angle between the rope and...

Ah, that was the problem. I only put 12 degrees, not 12.462. Thanks!

By the way, the A = 121.0 and B = 12.5 refers to the equation F=A+Bt^2, not Part A and Part B.

For Part C, I calculated it to be 331.125N, but am still getting a wrong answer. I know you said it was over 300, is that what you got too?

Incase you were wondering in the problem description, that "30o" was meant to be 30 degrees. I forgot to change that "o" to "degrees".
