After 85 min, 433.5 kg has been added to the railroad car. The momentum will stay the same because there is no friction (or so they say). The new mass of the car with snow in it is 3833.5 kg. Use the law of conservation of momentum. 3400 * 7.50 = 3833.5 *...

Both dQ and dW are zero. Therefore dU = 0 That means the temperature does not change. Pressure decreaseds by a factor of two because of the doubled volume of the gas. Enthalpy also doesn't change because PV = constant along with U.

For both equations, move the x's to the opposite side and divide both sides by 5. y = x + 5 for the first one. y = 2x + 2 for the second one. The lines intersect where 2x + 2 = x + 5, which is x = 3. At that point, y = 8

The square of the distance from the point to the line is D^2 = (x-4)^2 + (y-2)^2 Let y and x(y) vary and minimize that. D^2 = [(y^2/8)-4]^2 +(y-2)^2 D^2 = (y^4)/64 -y^2 + 16 +y^2 -4y +4 = y^4/64 - 4y +20 d(D^2)/dy = 0 (y^3)/4 -4 =0 y^3 = 16 y = 2*2^(1/3)...

1.1 a). They say it is rising at constant velocity before the bag drops. That information contains your answer. 1.1 b) You need to provide more information, preferably the mass of the sandbag and the rest of the balloon. The acceleration of the balloon at...

y = 3*(1.04)^x is an exponential growth formala. The growth factor is 1.04 y = 2 + log(x-3) y approaches -infinity as x approaches 3 from above. There will be a vertical asymptote at x = 3

There are several spelling errors in what you wrote. If you really meant "mis pies grandes son mis zapatos", that means "my big feet are my shoes" which does not make much sense.
