yes...i think...two layers are formed after shaking so i guess this is extraction of the benzoic acid from the benzoin so i am asked to state why carbon dioxide evolved ...what statement could i give?
the lower (organic) layer contains the benzoin. slightly soluble in water
after extractiowith bicarbonate, in which form is benzoic acid now in solution ???????
sodium salt :)
what could be possible answers to these two questions.....1 why determine the amount of solvent by difference and not by weighing the final distillate????? why not distill off all the solvent at the very beginnig and then separate the solid residue of benzoic acid and benzoin recrystallisation????
hmm me either ok a swimmer takes a deep breath in.....the volume of air taken into the lungs is 2.6 litres she then dives to a depth where the temperature is -11 degrees Celsius when she is out of air she swims back to the top of the ocean where the temperature is 37 degrees celcius what volume of air does she inhale now? i think we should use the gas law PV=nRT or i was trying to relate Charle's VT law i don't know
