Sam, I am currently in my eigth week of this class. This was my response to the discussion question. I hope this answer helps you. The ones that are most difficult to overcome are health care, housing, criminal justice, and education. These four societal challenges are difficult for modern African Americans because of his or her salary earnings. Due to dwindling employment opportunities and stagnant wages, African Americans still face many hardships and obstacles. Health care, education, housing, and criminal justice issues will not improve unless the African American population is given the same benefits that their (African American) Caucasian counterparts receive. The only suggestion I could make to the African American population is to study and study hard. Education is essential to one’s earning power. With this knowledge and monetary success, one could acquire improved housing and health care treatment. Additionally, along with the knowledge and monetary success, one could avoid the criminal justice system because one would then have the means to support their selves without committing illegal offenses. To the employers I would suggest that they compensate individuals equally and accordingly. For example, same diploma, same amount of experience, same amount of salary. It is, in my opinion, unfair to pay an African American man or woman less because of his or her skin color. Granted, I think these are decent suggestions but these suggestions will only occur once the individuals demand improvements.
Use sources provided by the university library, your local library, peer- reviewed articles, and sites ending with gov and/or org. Wikipedia is useful but the information needs to be double- checked and researched. Some instructors will not all information from wikipedia because some find the information unreliable since anyone can add information to the site. Be sure to ask the instructor before using sources from this site.If you are not certain on what is or is not useable ask the instructor or fellow classmates.
If you have Microsoft 2007 you can try copying and pasteing the speech into the word document. Then click the review tab, then the translator tab next to the spelling and grammar checker under the thesaurus tab, then select which language to which language, and then press the green arrow. Another option you could use for translation is worldlingo.
Is this individual someone you know personally? If it is someone you know personally you can just put what she said in quotations and not worry about citing what she said. You do not need to cite that type of information. On the other hand, if you received the information from a website, you would have to cite that but I am pretty sure you already knew that though.
Guzy, I just finished that course in October. The whole point of the class is for you to think critically. I know the assignment was a bit of pain but without learning to think critically on your own, the rest of your upcoming classes will become difficult if you cannot.Best of luck.By the way, I responded that there were not any vague or ambiguous areas because the article was well written but there were a few rhetorical devices used by the author.
I thought I was understanding this but I am really not sure about the symbols. Does the 3*(13/20)^2*(7/20) translate to 3 times 13/20 times 2 times 7/20? Sorry I am not up on the symbols... I will keep trying.
That is even more confusing. I am totally lost on this problem. I know that I have to multiply the three possibilities, so (7/20)(7/20)(13/20) three times (same numbers, different order) and I get 0.07963. I thought I would add those three numbers or essentially multiply that number by three, however, I did not get the right answer doing it that way. Thanks for any help. I am totally confused.
To answer why, it is used to protect consumers from others obtaining information that is not for public information.
A doctor needs to sit down, ask open ended questions (not ones that can be answered with a yes or a no) spend enough time with the patient to allow him/her to ask questions and often times it is best to have the patient repeat back the instructions so as to assess the understanding. This is just personal advice based on taking care of patients for 30 years, although I am not a doctor!
No need to write the word "dollars" as it is usually on the check already.
I disagree with you bob, many Master's prepared nurses make less money than those who have ADN's. Since I am an ADN nurse who is now one class short of a BSN, I think I know who makes the most money. If you are a hospital nurse with good differentials and base pay along with benefits, you can make much more money and if you work in a facility that offers tuition reimbursement, you can go on and get a BSN for little or no cost.
Thanks, I think that is very good. I will add that to my answer.
In order to answer the question, the theory of consumer behavior must be examined. Utility is the satisfaction or pleasure a consumer gets from the consumption of a good or service (all-you-can-eat buffet) and total utility is the total amount of satisfaction derived from the consumption of a single product or (all-you-can-eat buffet) a combination of products. Marginal utility is the extra utility (satisfaction or pleasure) a consumer obtains from the consumption of one additional unit of a good or service. The law of diminishing marginal utility states that as the consumer increases the consumption of a good or service (all-you-can-eat buffet), the marginal utility (satisfaction or pleasure) gained from each additional unit of the good or service decreases

Do this problem one step at a time. Parenthesis's first, then multiplecation and division, next then adding and subtracting. Think of P.E.M.D.A.S.
I would say #2 because it sounds better.
#1 is grammatically corect I think it sounds better. In #4 They will make you get better grades. The correct way to say that is They will help you get better grades. In #5 From your friends you can get help. The correct way to say that is You can get help from your friends.

I won't be able to answer exactly, but we know that the net force on the wire would be zero. So it means that Force(gravity) = Force(magnetic)
Hey, I thought about it a little more and I have your answer here. B = mu(naught) * I / (2pi * r) You can solve for I in that equation. I hope it looks familiar. mu(naught) = vacuum permeability I = current r = radius of wire

5. The only sequences that are both arithmetic and geometric are constant sequences, in which all the terms must be the same. For us to have a sum of 20, each term of the sequence must be 5. We can show this algebraically by solving the system of equations a + d = ar and a + 2d = ar² where a represents the first term of the sequence, d the common difference of the arithmetic sequence, and r the common ratio of the geometric sequence. This system produces the solution d = 0 and r = 1.
8. If all 5 beads are red, only 1 bracelet can be formed. If 4 beads are red and 1 is blue, only 1 bracelet can be made. If 3 beads are red and 2 beads are blue, 2 different bracelets are possible: the blue beads together or separated by the red beads. The symmetry in this situation means that there will be 2 bracelets with 2 red and 3 blue beads, 1 bracelet with 1 red bead, and 1 bracelet with no red beads, for a total of 8 bracelets.
25. The sum of a penny, a dime, and a quarter is 36 cents. The number 36 factors into 2²•3². To get an integral value in dollars, we must multiply by 5² so that the product ends in two zeroes. Any multiple of 25 will work, but 25 is the least of those values.

m1 = 1000kg vi1 = -25m/s m2 = 2250kg vi2 = 10m/s vf = ? m/s (m1*vi1)+(m2*vi2)=(m1+m2)vf vf=[(m1*vi1)+(m2*vi2)]/ [m1+m2] vf=[(1000*-25)+(2250*10)]/[1000+2250] vf = -0.769m/s OR vf = 0.769m/s south
UMBRELLAS White = 6 Blue = x Red = 5x Green = 3x Black = x + 9 Purple = x + 2 The equation... 6 + x + 5x + 3x + x + 9 + x + 2 = 50 We know that purple is 5 so... x + 2 = 5 x = 5 - 2 x = 3 Now we know that x = 3. This is the problem we started off with 6 + x + 5x + 3x + x + 9 + x + 2 = 50 now just plug in x... 6 + 3 + 5(3) + 3(3) + (3) + 9 + (3) + 2 = 50 6 + 3 + 15 + 9 + 12 + 5 = 50 50= 50 So this is correct White = 6 Blue = 3 Red = 15 Green = 9 Black = 12 Purple = 5 There are 6 white, 3 blue, 15 red, 9 green, 12 black, and 5 purple umbrellas.

Angle of elevation is 15 degrees and we're trying to solve for the hypotenuse of the right triangle given the adjacent is 7.11 m. We could use primary trig ratios to solve - COS. Let x represent the length of the ramp (hypotenuse) Cos15= ADJACENT/HYPOTENUSE Cos15= 7.11/x x=7.11/cos15 x=7.36 m Therefore, the ramp is 7.36 m in length.
