It isn't $12 a class but from the numbers they give, for example one class =$15, two classes =$27, three classes=$39, and four classes=$51 so the difference between each class is $12; not each class costs $12. so to figure out 5 classes I added $12 to $51
Reiny and ms sue are also very good.
Thank you for explaining it. When I see Steve as the person answering my question I know I will get an explanation and I will understand everything better afterwards. Thank you so much
It is not 4 squared times 2 the equation It is 4 times the square root of two. so my second step was to first get the square root of 2, which=1.4142 the multiplied it by 4 s0 4 x 1.412=5.65 Am I correct?
Why is it not the same I 6x-8x=-2x so that is how I got (x-3)(x-1)=-2x-3 but both ways are no solution. Thanks for checking my work
Thank you at first I stopped at the 2(x^2+3x-10) but I thought about it and realized it could be factored further.

thank you for your help. I guess I put the wrong one on top when I subtracted. I seem to get mixed up which goes first when they ask the wording of the difference. Thanks for showing me what I did wrong.

Thanks because I thought I was correct but my friend got 5 1/3 for the same work doing0.2d-1.20=.40d+2 +1.2 to each side then taking 0.40d to each side getting0.6=3.20 divide each side by0.6 giving her 5 1/3 so where did se go wrong, so I can help her out
I thought having the same base meant having the same number if it can be in simplier form. that is why I made them all multiples of 2. Thank you for your help
but the question said it the expression should have the same base, so wouldn't you have to go further?
I realized a mistake I made The answer I got when I corrected my work is 6(x^2+4) Is this now correct? Thank you
thanks for the help
Ok, I see my mistake. Thanks for explaining what I did incorrectly.
