Square root it to make it a little easier to see first. x-1+y=6 or x+y=7. The center has to be some point with coordinates (x,y). A radius is half of the diameter across that runs through the center. Drawing a labled circle would be a good idea.
the -1/4 is the SLOPE. You have a POINT. By definition, in order to be PARALLEL, two lines must have the SAME SLOPE. Is there some specified form for your final answer equation? There is only one formula that I can think of that would work in this case. .
