Do you mean polygon? If so, this is how you figure out both: Interior (sum): (n-2)180 (10-2)180 (8)180 1440 Then divide this number by the number of sides. 1440/10=144. Exterior (sum): Since the exterior angle sum of any regular polygon is 360, divide thi...

Oh yeah. I was trying to remember it but I just couldn't get it straight. Thanks!

Use the strategy I mentioned in your later question. If the sum of the exterior angles of any polygon is 360, and one angle is 40, divide the sum by the measure of one angle. 360/40=9. So, this particular polygon has 9 sides.

Thanks SOOOOOOOO much for correcting this!!! I really appreciate the time and effort you put into this.

The extra spaces didn't show up-- the poem is somewhere on the web. sorry :-(

Thanks! the second diagram is exactly what I needed!

Um,I hate to bother you again, but I don't think there's a "to retire"in the sentence. Thanks for helping me, though!

Sorry--I was talking about #6

water boils at 100 degrees Celsius, just remember-- water freezes at 0, and it boils at 100. Easy to remember :)

Substitute y in the first equation with the second equation. 10x + 2(-5+ 3) = 7 10x + -10 + 6 = 7 10x - 4 = 7 10x = 11 x = (11/10), or 1.1 Did I explain it well enough? :)

What do you mean "if a shape is whole"?
I thought "was" is considered a verb? (are verbs and actions the same?)
Thanks!! Yeah, we had to write it in some sort of riddle.
Yep, you're right.

We had to use this poem (below) as sort of an example; maybe I should reword the ending to make it sound like less of a riddle. Does anybody have anybody ideas?

Oh ok-- I get it now!

Check out Wikipedia, they have tons of great information!

Whatever info is in the unit. Quiz yourself on vocabulary terms, and if at the end of the unit it has an outline about what was important in the chapter, study that and look back for more info on stuff in the outline.

The dark sunglasses will absorb the heat, and less of the heat resonates back out, so my answer would be the dark glasses. The heat is just reflected back or passed through, not absorbed.

No, because then you wouldn't be able to see through them.

Also, try to look on discoverychannel . com to look for a MythBusters episode related to that (or even on YouTube). They did an experiment related to this.

Bring all the variables on one side, and the constants on the other side. 2(3x-5)>2x+6 6x-10>2x+6 4x-10>6 4x>16 x>4

Another question related to this that I can't figure out is: If you take a photograph of your image in a plane mirror, how many meters away should you set your focus if you are 2 meters in front of the mirror?

Use the Pythagorean Theorem. a^2 + b^2 = c^2 4^2 + 20^2 = c^2 16 + 400 = c^2 416 = c^2 c = sqrt 416 c = 20.4 If you draw a picture, you'll end up with a right triangle, and the two shorter sides are a and b, and the hypotenuse (long side) is c. Do you get...

If you have a equation how do you transfer that into a table? without using a graphing calculator?

how do you make a table out of an equation??

It wouldn't necessarily be a right triangle, would it?

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you mean by when you say "increase the diameter by a factor of sqrt 2 = 1.414." Can you please clarify for me? Thank you for helping me even though you're packing for a trip! =D

Oh, ok, I get it now. Thanks for helping me! Have fun on your trip! =D
