You're sailboarding at 7.0 m/s when a wind gust hits, lasting 6.3 s accelerating your board at 0.51 m/s2 at a 35∘ to your original direction.

a) Find the magnitude of displacement during the gust.

b) Find the direction of your displacement during the gust.

2 answers

displacement=sqrt((7*6.3)^2+(1/2 .51 * 6.3^2)^2 )

displacement=arc cos 7*6.3/(.5*.51*6.3^2)
Can you put the second displacement equation in a better form? Im not understanding what to multiply and divide (add more parentheses).
