∆x = 2, so
left = 2(s(0)+s(2)+s(4)+s(6))
right = 2(s(2)+s(4)+s(6)+s(8))
now plug and chug
you want s = (left+right)/2
left = 2(s(0)+s(2)+s(4)+s(6))
right = 2(s(2)+s(4)+s(6)+s(8))
now plug and chug
