1 answer

Parent: "We just got your report card and we're not happy with the results. How could you have gotten such low grades?"

Child: "I'm sorry, I know I didn't do as well as I could have. I've been struggling with some of the material and I didn't study as much as I should have."

Parent: "That's no excuse. Your grades are important and you need to take your education more seriously. We expect better from you."

Child: "I understand, and I'm going to work harder from now on. I'll make sure to study more and get help when I need it."

Parent: "Good. We expect to see improvement in the next report card. Your future is important and we want to see you succeed."

Child: "I will do my best, I promise. I'm sorry for disappointing you both."

Parent: "Just remember, we're here to support you and help you succeed. We just want what's best for you."

Child: "Thank you. I'll make sure to make you proud."
