In my opinion, the Byzantine Empire was more successful than the Roman Empire. By using my thinking map and making inferences from the information I have gathered, I have come to this conclusion. Firstly, the Byzantine Empire lasted for over one thousand years, whereas the Roman Empire only lasted for about five hundred years. This indicates that the Byzantines were able to maintain stability and rule effectively for a much longer period of time. Additionally, the Byzantine Empire was known for its strong bureaucracy, which allowed for efficient governance and management of its vast territories. The Romans, on the other hand, struggled with corruption and internal conflicts, which ultimately contributed to their downfall.
