here is with distribution...

1. add all the original prices together
2.50+4.95+6.00=13.45

2. multiply that sum(13.45) by 0.2(0.2 IS THE 20% OFF)
13.45x0.2=2.69

FINAL ANSWER: $2.69
I will comment when I get the without distribution!
Did you get without distribution?? i really really need help on this because i have an F in math :'(
I asked my dad and he said that for the distribution property you could do: .20 ($2.50 + $4.95 + $6.00) and you would add all the sums together and get 2.69. ( the point 20 is being taken from all the numbers, so when it adds up it will be equal to the same amount for when your not using distributive property. Aaliyah’s answer is without distribution prop.
Ok but what about the not distribution?
You could do 20(2.50+4.95+6.00) for non distribution
hahaaa Aaliyah it's been 3 years what about that without distubution-
i need help
Calculation Without Distribution
(Show all steps.) Situation: You want to buy three books that are on sale at 20% off. The original
prices of the books are $2.50, $4.95, and $6.00. How much will you save?
i need help now please
oh and the answer is $2.69 hope that helped
That one girl: the answer will be the same but how you get the answer will not
What about without
Ayva without distribution you add first then multiply, with distribution you multiply 2.50 by .2 4.95 by .2 and 6.00 by .2 (hint: take the decimals out then put them back in ur answer)
stop cheating!!!!!! (kaye is right btw)
Calculation With Distribution (All steps shown.)
0.2(2.50+4.95+6.00)
0.2(2.50)+0.2(4.95)+0.2+(6.00)
(.50+.99+1.20)
$2.69

Calculation Without Distribution (All steps shown.)
0.2(2.50+4.95+6.00)
0.2(13.45)
$269

This is what you saved by the way, Hope this helped.
