1. The materials I used to create my artwork were acrylic paint, canvas, recycled newspaper, and glue.

2. In my artwork, I created a mixed media collage where I painted a colorful abstract background on the canvas and then added torn pieces of recycled newspaper on top to create a layered and textured effect.

3. I used line to create movement and direction within the composition, shape and form to create visual interest and balance, color to evoke emotions and set the mood, value to create contrast and depth, texture to add tactile elements, and space to create a sense of depth and dimension within the artwork.

4. My message for the viewer is to appreciate the beauty in unexpected materials and to consider the environmental impact of using recycled materials in art.

5. One thing I like about my artwork is the juxtaposition of the colorful paint with the black and white newspaper, creating a visually dynamic and engaging composition. I also like the texture created by the layered newspaper.

One thing I would change or do differently if I could start over is to perhaps vary the sizes and shapes of the torn newspaper pieces more to create a more visually dynamic composition.
