2/3 * 60 = 120/3 = $40 for the sneakers. You saved $20.

Do the same for the other two purchases.

I'll be glad to check your answers.
You buy sneakers at 2/3 of their original prioce of $60 = $40

A sweater at 7/10 of its oreginal price of $35 = 24.5

And a jacket at 5/6 of its oreginal price of $45 = $37.5

So you spent $ 102

Saved (origianl cost - buying cost) ( 60+35+45) - (102) = $38

The fraction is 38/140 simplify to 19/70

IS this all right?
Great! It looks all right!

were all here just to cheat on the conexxus math 6 a fraction test thing
this is a bruh moment here, its wrong its not 38/140 makes no sense what so ever, its 68/140. this is probably why you got it wrong.
take the $60 and multiply it by the fraction given 2/3 and you get 2*60=120, 120/3=$40
You do the same for all the others and add them up to answer a.
35*7/10=$24.5, 45*5/6=$37.5 Total=$72
Then add up the prices without multiplying by the fractions given. Then subtract what you got for part a from it.
60+35+45=$140-$72=$68
What fraction of the total did ........68/140
my broski's that is the real way.

38 is the correct answer, as you are supposed to add the original cost to the reduced cost. So it would be 140 - 102, which equals 38.
So it is 38/140. Not 68/140.
Is this the correct answer?
I don't know seems like @Sammy's answer is too long
