You are mentoring a person in another department. This person comes to you and explains that the group she is working with is arguing over procedures employed to accomplish a project. Additionally, the group members do not seem to have much respect for the leader: Certain people constantly disagree with him and test his decisions. Using the Tuckman model of forming, storming, norming and performing, explain the model and what phase the group is in. Use the Library and Internet to research this topic.

In your own words, please post your response to the Discussion Board and comment on other postings. You will be graded on the quality of your postings.

Hi Rene. We actually don't give out grades here at Jiskha, so we won't be graded on anything here. :-)

Other than knowing what the Tuckman model is, I'm not sure what the problem is with this assignment. I would start by looking through your books and notes to find out more about the Tuckman model.

Here is a lot of information on it:

Good luck and let us know what you come up with.
This site will help you explain the model.

They are probably in the storming phase.
