I have to find the linear system using substitution
I have gotten it to -3x-2(5x-7)=-12
Now I am stuck at solving for x

I thought they were on this site, ready to help us?!?!?!
keep going like you started:
-3x - 2(5x-7) = -12
expand to
-3x - 10x + 14 = -12
combine x terms
-13x +14 = -12
subtract 14 from both sides
-13x = -26
solve the above for x
thanks so much
