One topic I enjoy arguing about is climate change because it affects everyone and needs urgent solutions. A difficulty I have with writing arguments is figuring out how to address opposing views without losing my main point. When I need to write an argument, the first thing I do is gather my evidence and make sure I understand both sides of the issue. I like to find and acknowledge claims that oppose my claims because it makes my argument stronger and shows I’ve thought deeply about the topic. One thing I still don’t understand about writing an argument is how to make my conclusion really powerful. I think the best way to write a conclusion to an argument is to summarize my main points and leave the reader with something to think about.
