Chapter 1: Salva
Once there was a young boy named Salva who lived in a small village in Sudan. Every day, Salva would wake up before the sun rose and perform his chores. He would help his mother fetch water from the nearby pond, tend to the family's goats, and help gather firewood for cooking.
One day, while Salva was out herding the goats, he heard the sound of gunfire in the distance. The villagers had been warned that rebels were attacking nearby villages, and Salva knew that he had to run for safety. He quickly gathered his belongings and set off into the unknown.
As Salva ran through the dense bushes and thorny shrubs, he thought about his family. He wondered if they were safe and if he would ever see them again. But he knew that he had to keep moving forward and find a new home.
As the sun began to set, Salva stumbled upon a group of other young boys who were also fleeing the violence. They had formed a makeshift group to help each other survive the journey. Salva joined them, grateful for the companionship and support.
Together, the group of boys traveled for days, crossing rivers and navigating through dangerous terrain. They faced hunger, thirst, and exhaustion, but they never gave up hope. Salva knew that he had to stay strong for himself and for his family.
After many long and difficult days, the group finally reached a refugee camp in Kenya. Salva was thankful to be safe at last, but he knew that his journey was far from over. He still had to find a way to reunite with his family and build a new life in a new land.
And so, Salva's long walk to water had just begun. But he was determined to overcome any obstacle that stood in his way, no matter how challenging. Salva knew that he was strong and resilient, and that he would one day find peace and happiness in a world full of hope and possibility.
And with that determination in his heart, Salva took a deep breath and continued his journey into the unknown. The boy from Sudan was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, for he knew that he was capable of achieving greatness in a world that was waiting to be discovered.
The end.
