In all the sentences, I'd put the specific words and letters being discussed into italics ... like this:
In #1 change ie into y and add ing to the end.
And in this one, you have the terms consonant and vowel reversed:
"In #3, run is one syllable verb and run is composed of a consonant and a vowel at the end. So you have to add the n one more and add ing to the end." Also the word a and some punctuation are missing. The sentence should read thus:
n #3, run is a one-syllable verb which is composed of a vowel and a consonant at the end. So you have to add the n one more and add ing to the end.
Write down the following exprressions.
1. die
2. skate
3. run
4. picnic
You have to make the ing forms of the verbs.
In #1 change ie into y and add ing to the end.
In #2, remove e and add ing to the end.
Skate is composed of a consonant and a silent e. So in this case, you have to remove e and add ing to the end.
In #3, run is one syllable verb and run is composed of a consonant and a vowel at the end. So you have to add the n one more and add ing to the end.
In #3, picnic has the k sound at the end. In this case, you should add k and ing to the end.
You have to follow the ruls of making the ing form.

Oooops! In the second part of that last sentence (#3), the word "one" should be "once."
