write as a product of factors. then solve for x.

6x^2-7x-5=0

can someone tell me if i'm doing this correctly?
(6x + 5)(x-1)
I'm not really sure what else to do from there or if it's even correct. can someone help?

If you multiply 6x+5 time x-1, you will see that you are not doing it right. You need to split the 6 into its factors and pair the largest one with -5.
