Write a short poem about someone hurting and self harm

1 answer

In the quiet of the night, alone they cry
Hidden scars and pain they can't deny
The wounds they've caused, the battles fought
A temporary relief, but the pain is still wrought

The razor blade whispers, a dark temptation
A cruel release from inner devastation
But the blood that spills, a silent plea
For someone to see, to help set them free

The soul is broken, the heart is torn
In a world that can be cold and so forlorn
But there is hope in the darkness, a light to find
A hand to hold, a heart to bind

Reach out, dear friend, don't suffer in silence
You are not alone in this violence
There is love and healing to be found
In the kindness of others, let it surround

The road to healing is not an easy one
But you are strong, you are a warrior, don't be undone
You are worth more than the pain you bear
Hold on tight, there is love and care.
