Loneliness, a shadow in the night
A weight upon my chest so tight
A constant hum, a hollow sound
In empty rooms, it can be found
Silence lingers in every space
No laughter echoes in this place
My heart yearns for a touch or two
But there's no one here, just me and my blue
Familiar faces on the screen
But none of them can see my beams
I long for talks that last all night
But they move on, without a fight
The clock ticks loudly in my ear
A reminder that time isn't dear
The days stretch out into the sky
With no one to care or to try
Oh loneliness, you cling so tight
Your arms are cold, your hold is white
But I pray one day, you'll set me free
And joy and love will come to be.
