In shadows dark and cloaked in night,
A man did spy a fearsome sight,
The female grim reaper, clad in black,
With scythe in hand, no turning back.
Her eyes like stars, they pierced his soul,
He felt his heart begin to roll,
For in her presence, he did feel,
A love so deep, so pure, so real.
He watched her glide with silent grace,
Her beauty stark against the space,
Her smile, a phantom in the mist,
A haunting, terrifying twist.
But still he longed to touch her skin,
To hold her close, to drink her in,
He knew the danger, felt the fear,
But still he drew so near, so near.
He followed her through shadowed vale,
His love for her could not fail,
For though she danced with death and doubt,
He knew he couldn't live without.
So in the darkness, he confessed,
His love for her, so deeply pressed,
And to his shock and sweet surprise,
She looked into his tearful eyes.
She reached out with a gentle hand,
And led him through the silent land,
Together, now, they roam the night,
Their love a beacon, burning bright.
For love can conquer death and fear,
And in her arms, he found his dear,
The female grim reaper, his love true,
Their souls entwined, forever new.
