Con-se-quence
/ˈkɑnsɪkwəns/
(noun)

Consequence is the outcome of an action,
The result, the effect, the aftermath
Of choices made, of paths taken
Both good and bad, consequences we must face.

As in: when you hit snooze on your alarm,
The consequence is being late for work
Rushing and stressing, feeling overwhelmed
All because of that one extra minute of sleep.

As in: when you forget your umbrella on a rainy day,
The consequence is getting soaked
Drenched to the bone, shivering with cold
Regretting your forgetfulness.

As in: when you skip studying for a test,
The consequence is failing to succeed
Disappointment in yourself, lower grades
Learning the hard way, to always be prepared.

Consequences are a part of life,
Teaching us lessons, shaping our future
So be mindful of your choices,
And embrace the consequences that follow.
