I am writing to bring to your attention the fail grade I received in my final year course. As a final year student, my goal is to go to Industrial Training, but unfortunately, I scored 48% which resulted in a fail grade.
I have attended the class regularly, but I scored zero on participation and attendance. To pass the course, I needed to achieve 5% in this category, but due to a clash between two classes throughout the semester (BI 335 and EN 481), I was unable to consistently attend both classes.
I attended the BI 335 class several times, but the inconsistency in class checking led to my low attendance score. The clash between BI 335, a pure biology course, and EN 481 further complicated my attendance and participation in both classes.
I did not take biology in my second and third years, which impacted my performance in the course. Despite my efforts to complete assignments, tests, and practicals, I failed to meet the 2% requirement due to the clash between classes.
I kindly request your assistance in considering a 2% adjustment to my attendance and participation grade, which would bring my overall score to a passing 50%. This adjustment would greatly help me achieve my goal of participating in Industrial Training and furthering my academic and professional development.
Thank you for your understanding and support in this matter.
Sincerely,
