Would someone please check my work ands let me know if I am right? (We are going to do this as a group but I'd like to attempt it on my own first.) Thank you!

Suppose a soccer player kicks the ball from a distance 30 m toward the goal. Find the initial speed of the ball if it just passes over the goal,2.4 m above the ground, given the initial direction to be 40o above the horizontal.

V^2=Voy^2+2a(Y-Yo)
0m/s = Voy^2 (-9.8 m/s^2)(2.4m-0m)
0m/s = Voy^2 -47.04 m^2s^2
47.04m^2s^2 = Voy^2
Voy = 6.86 m/s
