With a coin, the chance of throwing a cross is 0.3 and the chance of throwing head is 0.25. Calculate the probability that you will get the same result twice if each coin is rolled once

1 answer

strange coin!

result could be cross, cross or head, head
= (.3)(.3) + (.25)(.25) = ....

There is something fishy about this question and the coin.
A coin usually has 2 possibilities upon landing, heads or tails, or whatever
but the 2 probs must add up to 1, but .3 and .25 do not
