why there is no proportionality constant in equation of centripetal acceleration after removing proportionality sign?

1 answer

The equation for centripetal acceleration is
a = V^/R
(or a = R w^2, where w is the angular velocity in radians per second)

You don't need a proportionality constant. It is 1
