Why is the joule-second (J*s) equivalent to kg*m^2/s ?

1 answer

Newtons are force = ma, so
N = ma = kg-m/s^2
work (J) is force*distance, so
J = N-m = kg-m^2/s^2
J-s = kg-m^2/s
