Why does the viscosity of honey change when water is added to it?

I have seached the whole internet but can someone please explain this to me in forms of year 11 chemistry.
Is it because water is less viscous then honey and so when added to honey the density changes.
Websites with information abouth this would be excellent.

It is because water is less viscous than honey, and forms a solution with it.
The viscous properties of the solution are in between those of honey and water. It has nothing to do with density
