Why can multicellular organisms be more complex than unicellular organisms?

I believe you can think that one through yourself. Is a car more complex than a sled?
Multicellular organisms can have many cells doing different things. For example, humans can have cells that are specialists in carrying oxygen (red blood cells) and others making the heart beat.
