As I go throughout my day, I get to sit at the computer for a while now and then. I check in on Jiskha.com to see whether any math questions have come up. If so, I help answer them till I have to leave. The same applies to others who help out.
That is why sometimes questions go unanswered for a while sometimes. Those who sit and repost and repost and ask why no one is helping them are just whining to an empty office chair. And repeated posts of the same question just get annoying. It's not that they are being ignored -- it's just that no one happens to be volunteering their time just then. If that happens to you, umm, try working on the question yourself, not just sitting on your hands and waiting for someone to do it for you.
