Why are database management systems important in the business community? Give atleast two reasons.
Let's begin with what a database is. A database is a collection of data records. These records are on your computer and a program is used to access the records, change the records, and sort the records. (Probably can think of a million other things, but that's basic enough to get the idea) :)
Now, brainstorm about the importance of businesses to have and use data...whether it's inventory data, customer data, employee information, supplier information, etc. With that, it should be fairly easy to come up with two reasons why database management systems are important in the business community :)
Good luck!
