If Windows Media Player has opened after you selected the Audio CD option and you want to burn an audio CD, follow these steps:
-
Create a Playlist:
- If you haven't already selected the songs you want to burn, you'll need to create a playlist first. In Windows Media Player, navigate to the 'Library' tab on the left pane where you can browse your music collection.
- You can right-click on the songs you want to include and select 'Add to Burn List' or drag them to the right side where the burn list area is.
-
Access the Burn Tab:
- Once you have added all desired songs to the burn list, click on the 'Burn' tab which is located at the top right part of the Windows Media Player interface.
-
Select Burn Options:
- In the 'Burn' tab, ensure that 'Audio CD' is selected as the format.
- You may also want to check the settings to confirm that your CD burning preferences (like the disc title) are correct.
-
Insert a Blank CD:
- Insert a blank CD-R or CD-RW into your CD/DVD drive. Make sure it is recognized by your computer.
-
Start Burning:
- After confirming your selections and ensuring that your blank CD is inserted, click the 'Start Burn' button to begin the burning process.
-
Wait for the Process to Complete:
- Windows Media Player will show the progress of the burn. This may take several minutes depending on how many songs you are burning and the speed of your CD writer.
-
Eject the CD:
- Once the burning process is finished, the CD will typically eject automatically. If it doesn’t, you can manually eject it.
-
Test the CD:
- You might want to play the newly burned audio CD in your CD player or multimedia software to ensure everything burned correctly.
If you face any issues during the process, such as error messages or the CD not recognizing songs, check your music files for compatibility, make sure your CD drive is functioning correctly, or try using a different blank CD.
