There is several laws protecting the employee in the work force.
1]The Federal Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits employers from discriminating against job seekers and employees on the basis of race,religion,sex,pregnancy, and national origin.
2] The Equal Pay Act(EPA)
A gender neutral requirement on employers.It prohibits gender discrimination in the form of unequal pay for"substantionally equal"work.
3] The Federal Age Discrimination in Employment Act(ADEA)prohibits hiring/firing based on age.
