Which statement correctly compares the valence electrons for atoms of francium (Fr) and barium (Ba)?
(1 point)
Francium has more valence electrons, and they are in a higher energy level.
Barium has fewer valence electrons, but they are in a higher energy level.

I think its see
c

I don't think it's c. Look at these on the periodic table. Ba is 56 and Fr is 87. Fr has 1 valence electron; Ba has two. Fr is in period 7 while Ba is in period 6. So that single electron in Fr is in a higher energy level than the two in Ba.
I think it’s ‘Francium has fewer valance electrons, but they are in a higher energy level’
Since they are on a higher period but has one less valence electron than Barium.
Since they are on a higher period but has one less valence electron than Barium.
I finished the test, I was correct
@Regal can you help me with the answers?

Atomic Structure Unit Test 2022
1) A - the number of protons, electrons and neurons
2) B - it is a non-metal.
3) A - atomic number
4) C - low energy alpha particles passing through a field of high mass number particles
5) A - Metals can be hammered into thin sheets, and nonmetals are brittle
6) A - Vanadium
7) C - Silicon
8) A - Hydrogen does not have any neutrons.
9) B - Francium has fewer valence electrons, but they are in a higher energy level.
10) A - They have a full valence electron shell.
11) A - An ionic bond is likely because they will want to give away two valence electrons in order to become stable.
12) B - four
13) A - 2--
14) i wrote, "this ball and stick model has two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom, forming H20" (make sure you change up some words)
15) i wrote, "Neon's atomic number is 10, and sodiums atomic number is 11. Neon has an outer shell full of electrons, so it can't react with other elements. Sodium has one more proton and one more electron than neon, so the added electron is in the outside shell, creating a valance electron. Therefore neon is not is not reactive and sodium is very reactive."
16) i didn't do this one so just.. guess the answer lmao
goodluck on ur test :)
