The three most important qualities for information in an explanatory essay are:
- Accurate - The information must be correct and reliable to effectively explain the topic.
- Relevant - The information should be closely related to the main topic and contribute to the reader's understanding.
- Sufficient - There should be enough information provided to fully explain the topic and address the main points.
Anecdotal and statistical may be useful in certain contexts, but they are not as universally important as the three listed above.
