(B) Cervical cancer
While teenage pregnancies can be associated with various health risks and challenges, cervical cancer is not directly associated with being a teenager who becomes pregnant. Instead, cervical cancer is more closely related to persistent infection with high-risk types of the human papillomavirus (HPV), among other factors. Addiction, STIs (sexually transmitted infections), and trauma can all be more immediate concerns associated with teenage pregnancy.
