I have to agree with you because I do not see choice B in the passage.
Choice B is in the passage. Does that mean choice B is the right answer?
"I made him look at me." is pretty indicative of gathering some nerve. However I still do not see that in the text you copied in the earlier question.
"My nerves vibrated to those low-spoken words as they had never vibrated to thunder—my blood felt their subtle violence as it had never felt frost or fire; but I was collected, and in no danger of swooning. I looked at Mr. Rochester: I made him look at me"
