To become a naturalized citizen of the United States, a person must do the following:
- Pass a test demonstrating knowledge of U.S. history and civics.
- Speak, read, and write basic English.
The other options (holding a job with a U.S. company, residing in the United States for at least seven years, and marrying a citizen if not already related to one) are not requirements for naturalization. Instead, a person must typically reside in the U.S. for at least five years (or three years if married to a U.S. citizen), but it doesn't specify a job or require marriage to a citizen.
