x^2 - 5x = 0

im confused
if the product of two numbers is zero, then one or the other of the numbers must be zero. This is why we always set stuff to zero to solve.
So, if x(x-5) = 0
either
x = 0 ... meaning x=0
x-5 = 0 ... meaning x = 5

5 is the only choice listed.
