Which of the following groups contains no ionic compounds?
A. HCN, NO2, Ca(NO3)2
B. PCl5, LiBr, Zn(OH)2
C. KOH, CCl4, SF4
D. CH2O, H2S, NH3
1 answer
I suppose the answer is D since all of the others contain ionic compounds; however, let me point out that CH2O, H2S and NH3 are polar and CH2O does have a small amount of ionic character since Ka is relatively large.
