People who can taste PTC (phenylthiocarbamide) have at least one dominant allele for the trait, which is represented by "T". Therefore, individuals with the genotypes "TT" (homozygous dominant) and "Tt" (heterozygous) can taste PTC, while "tt" (homozygous recessive) individuals cannot taste it.
