Which expression gives the solutions of –5 + 2x² = –6x?

1 answer

-5 + 2x^2 = -6x
2x^2 + 6x - 5 = 0
x = (-6 ± √(36 - 4(2)(-5))/4
= (-6 ± √76)/4
= (-6 ± 2√19)/4

= (-3 ± √19)/2
